There might be other bikes lighter, yet not the aesthetic comes from the integration of design, material and architecture.

放眼台灣的道路品質,對於鋼管優異的吸收衝擊特性,正是一個絕佳的發揮場合。容易令鋼管生鏽的海島型氣候,恰好可以運用當代風格的表面塗裝處理來徹底隔絕。另外一方面,乾淨又耐用的皮帶驅動縱然性能優秀,卻需要特別設計的車架來匹配。若能發展出一台構型別緻簡約、同時相容於鍊條及皮帶兩種系統的車架,那會是多麼有意思的架構呀!

為什麼排除了碳纖維與鋁合金、選擇了古典的鉻鉬鋼?除了鋼管特有的吸震調性之外,多年來的產業設計經驗,其實讓我對於碳纖維與鋁合金的優勢及限制了然於心;古典的鋼材卻給了我突破既有構型,重新解構、再建構出的全新切入角度。在徹底運用了鉻鉬鋼的材料特性後,我們的方向在20″小徑車架構下,能達到相近鋁合金車的重量等級、更棒的強度以及更優秀的吸震韌性
